About Us
Our community and even our world is in a state of emergency. Our very existence is under attack on several fronts. One of the obvious ones is our health. One of the main weapons of our enemy is the very thing we need for survival – FOOD! The food we eat today is not the same food our ancestors ate. Our cattle, poultry, pork, etc. today are being contaminated with antibiotics, growth hormones, and other substances detrimental to our health. Over 90% of our staples such as corn, soy and rice have been genetically modified (GMO) with pesticides such as Roundup, a known cancer causing substance. Most of our fish contains high levels of mercury or if farm raised are fed with GMO food. On top of that most of the other foods including oils are highly processed and stripped of necessary vitamins and minerals and are some of main promoters of chronic diseases that plague our people including Cardiovascular Diseases, Obesity, Diabetes, Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, etc.
Sadly, African-Americans and other minorities head the list in morbidity from these life-style chronic diseases. Even sadder is the fact that in many cases this suffering doesn’t have to occur. It has been scientifically proven that the root of most of these diseases is inflammation in the body that is the result of consuming these foods and other lifestyle choices. To add insult to injury, these diseases have been identified as co-morbidity with COVID19 resulting in a higher probability of hospitalization and death.
